volvo b10m-46, 1998, r131 kgh

The ex London Fire Brigade, Command unit. Built on a Volvo Trucks B10M-46 / coach chassis by Spectra UK of Westbury Wiltshire.

New to London Fire & Civil Defence Authority in March 1998 as BCU1.

It attended shouts of 8 pumps or more and is fully kitted with:

  • 2 silent panda generators

  • 4 computer stations

  • various radios

  • CCTV and microwave tech for air to ground interlink from the police or fire brigade Helicopters

 

It was stationed at Brigade HQ in Lambeth. From London Fire Brigade it was transferred for a short time to Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue Service until sold. Wessex fire and rescue purchased her in 2013 as part of there fleet where she attends events and the occasional tv appearance. Most recently: BBC Casualty.
 

Our command unit is ideal for large events as a control point, complete with CCTV and onboard silent generators.
