Landrover 110, 1989, F31 NTP

Land Rover 110, 1989, F31 NTP. Due to the county having an extensive area of open heathland, the Hampshire Fire Brigade has always operated a large fleet of Land Rover light fire engines.

This 110 Defender was equipped in the brigade workshops at Winchester and was allocated to Bordon fire station where it served from 1989 until 2001 when it was transferred to B19  Waterlooville for a short time then in to A34 Stockbridge in 2004 ten on to station 13 Liphook

It came out of brigade service in March 2007 and was used by Safe Event Solutions of Southampton but never used and in  October 2007  it was purchased by Wessex Fire and Rescue.

For more than a decade it was operated to provide fire cover at major events all over the country but has now been retired to join the Wessex Fire and Rescue Heritage Collection.
